Job Description:
The Senior Accountant is responsible for applying consistent
accounting principals and procedures, maintaining the integrity of
financial records, and providing transparent and accurate financial
information. Key duties include executing essential daily and
monthly accounting activities, leveraging expertise in systems like
SAP, Coupa, and PPM to troubleshoot discrepancies, and coordinating
with internal and external teams (including offshore consultants)
to oversee impactful accounting processes with an emphasis on
compliance and adherence to control procedures. Key
Responsibilities: Perform accounting functions and journal entries
related to month-end close responsibilities, including job cost
coding review and settlement, reconciling the job cost subledger to
General Ledgers, and recording capitalized overhead and de minimis
entries. Prepare and manage Fixed Asset submissions for capital
projects. This includes monthly asset submissions, quarterly asset
abandonments and future asset forecasts, collaborating with Tax and
Corporate Accounting. Execute capital approval and project setup
for assigned projects, acting as the accounting point-of-contact
for Project and Construction Managers requests and troubleshooting.
Create monthly reports for project and contract closeouts,
coordinating with key stakeholders on final closeouts, and prepare
completed projects for final Tax review. Review and approve
appropriate General Ledger coding for contract requests,
non-purchase order invoices, and ad hoc check requests, and prepare
and manage balance sheet reconciliations for assigned GL accounts,
including researching any unexpected variances and resolving
reconciling items. Create monthly reports, including capital
projects and feasibility summaries, and provide variance
commentary. Support internal and external audit requests by
providing accurate financial data and variance explanations.
Additional Skills: Advanced Excel user with strong proficiency in
intermediate formulas, pivot tables, and data extraction techniques
for large datasets. Experience with SAP Analysis preferred. Strong
oral and written communication skills. Strong organizational skills
and problem-solving skills. Preferred Education: Bachelors Degree
(or equivalent experience) Preferred Years of Relevant Work
Experience: 2 - 5 years Compensation: Base Pay Range: $97,600.00 -
$115,700.00 Actual placement within this range may vary based upon,
but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary
of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and
geographic location. The Company also offers competitive benefits
