GENERAL DUTIES

The Bariatric Program Coordinator is responsible for oversight and coordination of the surgical weight loss program Clinic, including preoperative and postoperative patient education, scheduling of all support group meetings with the coordinating of multidisciplinary speakers and topics. He/she works with Marketing Manager to develop marketing plan and acts as the liaison between hospital, clinic, staff and patients to ensure collaborative approach to patients needs. He/she oversees QI program, maintains and updates required clinic care pathways. This position has the responsibility for the assessment, treatment and care of the patient in the following age group: adult and geriatric.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

Required:

• Current California Registered Nursing License required.
• Must be an active member of the American Society of Metabolic Bariatric Surgery.
• Must possess the ability to work well interpersonally with other staff members and to interact with Medical Director.
• Possesses a clinical knowledge in care of surgery patients and extensive knowledge of all bariatric surgery.
• Possesses knowledge of current trends in patient care and health care delivery system and is able to oversee all clinical aspects of the pre and post operative care of surgical patients, marketing, and customer service and staff members.
• Possesses the physical abilities including heavy lifting and perceptive acuity, e.g., visual, hearing, to satisfactorily perform all direct and indirect patient care functions. See attached physical activities and working conditions.
• Flexibility; willingness to work evenings/weekends as required. Including but not limited to program support group as well as off-site informational seminar. Promote program to include public speaking events as warranted.
  
  Pay range: $ 62.2 Minimum - $ 99.52 Maximum an hour
  
  Individual wages are determined based upon a number of factors including, but not limited to, an individual's qualifications and experience.
