ResponsibilitiesAttend the mandatory camp staff meetings before,
during, and after each camp sessionPlan, coordinate, lead and
evaluate exciting and age-appropriate archery activities, that are
meaningful and adapted for campers who are blind or visually
impairedTrain and supervise camp counselors with particular
emphasis on support roles in archery and the safety and operation
of the archery programInspect and maintain equipment and supplies
making recommendations for repairs and replacements to the Program
& Special Events Coordinator as neededMeet regularly with
supervisor to effectively plan and implement the archery
programMake inspections, with the Program & Special Events
Coordinator of the archery area for safety hazards and cleanliness
to ensure quality lessonsFollow and enforce Camp Policies and
safety with all camp staff and campersAssist in the implementation
of the camp orientation especially how it pertains to
archeryResponsible for assigned keys, equipment, supplies,
etc.Assist with pick-up and drop-off of campers on arrival and
departure dayAssist with loading and unloading of luggage on
arrival and departure dayMeet and greet campers and parents,
especially on arrival and departure daysAssist in the cabin group
set up, packing, and unpacking on arrival and departure
daysInstruct campers and staff in emergency proceduresComplete all
written reports in a timely mannerRequired Education, Skills, and
ExperienceHigh school diplomaApplicants must be at least 18 years
of age at the time of hireCurrent CPR, First Aid, and AED
certificationMeet all health screening, drug testing, and
background investigation clearances, as well as possess a valid
driver's license, insurance and have an acceptable DMV
recordApplicants must demonstrate evidence of a negative PCT test
(taken within 72 hours) before the camp start dateMust be able to
lift to 30 poundsAbility to oversee and supervise small and large
groups in camp and cabin activitiesDesire to work with children,
teens, and adults who are blind, visually impaired, and
multi-disabledAdditional RequirementsAll employees must be fully
vaccinated against the COVID-19 virus as a condition of employment.
