F/10 Creative has an open seat at the table for a Chef For Starters We are in search of a perfectly-seasoned Chef with the ability to deliver an epic culinary experience unlike any other in Palm Springs. They should know how to get their hands dirty while keeping their Chef whites, white and understand the intricacies of fine dining. Their relationship with food should be intimate yet expansive, which should be evident in their knowledge of cultural and regional cuisines, preparation and presentation techniques and desire to create original and innovative dishes for guests from all walks of life. With an innate sense of ownership and eye for detail, they should seize every opportunity to reinforce our brand standards and should exhibit a mindful strategic approach in overcoming obstacles. Their recipe for success will require the ability to inspire, motivate and educate every member of their team and empower them to be the best. They should be a master of ingenuity, creativity and resourcefulness. Eating is a sensory experience and should be enjoyed; from love at first sight to last bite.What s on the Menu?Oversee the day to day operations of our Italian, al fresco, restaurant.Ensure operational efficiency as well as maintain high production, productivity, quality, and service standards.Manage processes and procedures, enforce company policy, identify opportunities and make recommendations to increase productivity and improve overall operations and profitability. Here s the Spaghetti and Meatballs.Efficiently and accurately oversee the day to day operations of the Culinary teamInspects all products, inventories and deliveries to insure compliance with federal and state standards, as well as internal quality standards. Must be able to fully manage the food safety program of the organizationMaintain cost control, minimize waste/shrinkage and review, audit and approve invoicesConduct monthly inventory of kitchen food, small wares, and kitchen equipmentResponsible for controlling and monitoring the financials for the department, creating and adjusting budgets, forecasting, controlling labor, COGS, etc.Participate in recruiting, hiring and training of BOH team membersDevelop new menu ideas and concepts, create standardized recipe cards and menus descriptions and execute tasting, as neededProvide coverage and oversee kitchen operations at any of our outlets in the absence of other ChefsInspect cleanliness and organization of kitchen, prep kitchen, dishwashing area, pastry kitchen, food truck to comply with the standards of the Health Department Got the Chops ?Minimum 5 years Culinary Leadership/Management PositionServsafe Certification or California Food Handlers CertificationCertificate or Degree in Culinary Arts preferredKnowledge of the specialty cuisine preferredAbility to work a variety of hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.A team player with the ability to both take and give direction clearlyImpeccable service standards, clean work habits with a great attention to detailAbility to navigate and utilize Microsoft Office Suite programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook), point of sale (POS) systems, and any other required operating machines (i.e. online or digital reservation systems).Bi-lingual, Fluent in Spanish a plusAbility and willingness to maintain confidentialityAbility to multitask, prioritize, and organize efficiently and for DessertPay Range: Based on experiencePosition class: F/T, salary, exemptBenefits: F/10 offers a competitive benefit package for qualifying employees that includes Medical, Dental, PTO, Discount Programs and more.
