Wholly owned by the Cherokee Nation, CNMC is part of the Cherokee Nation Businesses family of companies.http://cherokee-cnmc.com/Pages/home.aspx https://cherokee-federal.com/ JOB DESCRIPTION Logistics Specialist I performs warehousing functions on specialized equipment such as Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Nuclear Defense Equipment (CBRN-D) and Soft walled Shelters and Camouflage Netting (SWS), and other equipment in support of the Marine Corps Consolidated Storage Program (CSP). The primary objective of the Consolidated Storage Program (CSP) is to provide organization and individual issue, recovery, storage, requisitioning, maintenance and repair, management (including visibility, accountability, automated shelf-life management, and forecasting) for the following families of items:Infantry Combat Equipment (ICE) Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Nuclear Defense Equipment (CBRN-D) Special Training Allowance Pool Equipment (STAP) Soft walled Shelters and Camouflage Netting (SWS) Under the auspices of the Marine Corps Logistics Command (MCLC), the CSP is the Marine Corps designated manager of fielded ICE, CBRN-D, STAP and SWS Via a centrally managed global network of regional and individual base facilities, CSP ensures that Marines worldwide have a single access point for serviceable ICE, CBRN-D, STAP and SWS to meet their mission requirements. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Includes the following:This position performs all warehousing activities, to include, issuing receiving, storing, reconstitution, inventorying, and shipping bulk and individual gear and equipment. Track inventory using warehouse management system. Organizing inventory as outlined in the warehouse inventory procedures. Assists in drafting of Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), documents, Memorandums, and weekly logistics reports. Assists with the annual, quarterly, and monthly inventory. Perform shipping, receiving and inspections of equipment Assists in the training of CBRN-D and SWS equipment Loading and unloading of equipment as needed. Performs other job-related duties as assigned. SUPERVISORY/MANAGEMENT AUTHORITY No supervisory or management authority. EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE Minimum of 2-year experience in performing logistics management required. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, and ABILITES Ability to pass a drug screen Must be able to pass a National Agency Check (NAC) investigation to obtain base access and DoD computer system access. Must be detailed-oriented, demonstrate good time-management skills and manage workload with minimal oversight. Understanding of inventory control systems. Knowledge of CBRN-D equipment, capabilities, and maintenance. Operational abilities with CBRN defense operations across the full spectrum threat environment. Knowledge in reviewing/implementing processes, policies and programs related to CBRN. Familiarization with JPEO-CBD Enterprise Field and Surveillance (JEFS) policies and procedures Knowledge and experience with Soft walled Shelters and Camouflage Netting (SWS) Proficient in written/verbal communication skills. Ability to meet physical requirements, such as lifting up to 50 lbs, bending and standing for long periods of time.
