the general job duties.
- The Administrative Director/Controller for Eisenhower Clinics
is responsible for the accounting and month-end close of the Clinic
division financials and oversees the overall financial management.
This includes the planning, budgeting, financial reporting and
analysis of all clinic operations. This position assists medical
directors and CAO's in evaluating and monitoring financial
performance in respective clinics..In addition the position
provides overall direction, daily management and support for the
clinic patient financial services operations including professional
fee billing related to Medicare, managed care, medical, special
billing, payment application, pre-collections, customer service
teams as well as coordination with all the patient access team
members. This responsibility includes all of the above activities
with both inpatient and outpatient professional fee billings. The
position is also responsible for technical billing for the clinics
including Medicare split billing.
The incumbent provides the overall direction, daily management,
and support for Eisenhower Medical Associates (EMA) Financial
accounting and operations. This includes general accounting,
accounts payable, payroll, year end audit, and tax preparation and
returns for Eisenhower Medical Associates which is a professional
corporation that currently employs over 100 physicians.

Required: BA in Business, Finance, Accounting or related
Preferred: Master's degree in same
Required: Minimum 5 years in a healthcare financial management
position. Minimum 3 years supervisory experience.

Strong aptitude in PC based and mainframe financial management
systems. In depth knowledge of hospital and physician office
financial reporting and operations especially accounts receivable

- Essential Job Specific Responsibilities
Oversees the month-end close process, including journal entries,
account analysis and reconciliation, and financial statement
Coordinates with the Hospital Division management during various
month end and audit processes.
Formulate policies and procedures to maintain sound fiscal
management and accounting operations. Assure that accepted
accounting principles, as well as specific local, State and Federal
financial record keeping and reporting regulations are met.
Provide overall management and supervision to the department's
staff. Evaluate the work of all direct reports.
Act as liaison and provide guidance in the conduct of the annual
audit of the Medical Center by the Center's firm of independent
certified public accountants.
Oversee activities that maintain the segregation and
consolidation of financial reporting for the various Clinic
Direct and supervise function of Strategic Financial
Planning/Forecasting in collaboration with Clinic leadership,
gathering volume and expense trend input.
Prepares and/or reviews current and long range revenue
projections, proformas, plans of action and budgets.
Monitors trends in healthcare and developments keeping appraised
of rules and regulations affecting professional revenue cycle.
Oversee the development of the annual operating targets and
budgets and capital budgets for all Clinic departments.
Provides appropriate, accurate and timely monthly reports at the

Stay current with and interpret organizational impact of State
or Federal reporting regulations and reimbursement changes. Make
recommendations for operational/system changes to administer
regulatory changes. Support updates to Medical Records Grouper, and
to the hospital charge master as it relates to Medicare UB92/CPT
coding and billing requirements, etc.
Prepares the department's annual operating and capital budget
Responsible for the development of policies and procedures that
ensure the appropriate processing of third party billings and
collections for professional fees.
Directs the professional billing and collecting operations for
all professional fees for EMC. Ensures the accurate and timely
billing and collection of charges. Establishes controls and reviews
to ensure that systems and procedures are being followed
Coordinates with Quality department regarding physician level
Coordinates with CIO and CMIO regarding professional services
software and vendors.
Issues appropriate statistical and non-statistical data and
reports to the various levels of the organizations.
Coordinates with Contract Management for ongoing review of
pricing levels related to the market and expected reimbursement
levels, chargemaster, fees schedules and payor report cards.
