Location: This position is remote within the United States. Huge is seeking an Associate Director of AI Content Strategy to help lead complex, multidisciplinary initiatives that transform how content supports business goals and user needs. This is a strategic role for someone who can define a content vision, architect systems and governance models, and lead teams through implementation. You’ll be at the center of large-scale digital transformation projects—from designing content models and IA systems to future-proofing content ecosystems with AI and emerging technologies. You’ll analyze content assets and organizational capabilities, define taxonomies and metadata frameworks, develop content management solutions, and architect information strategies. Your work will go beyond structuring content; you’ll ensure it aligns with user needs and business objectives, turning complex requirements into simple, intuitive solutions. This role is not editorial or copy management. Instead, it’s about turning complexity into clarity, and aligning content systems with both audience expectations and business objectives. What you’ll be doing. Act as a trusted subject matter expert for our internal teams and client stakeholders. Drive content governance, audits, workflow design, and lifecycle management. Create and evolve information architecture, content models, taxonomy structures, and metadata systems. Develop strategy, including voice & tone frameworks, messaging guidelines, and systemized content patterns. Partner with Experience Design, Product, and Engineering teams to scale content operations and ensure quality across channels. Design and lead conversation strategy for chat, voice, and next-generation agentic experiences. Build dialogue flows, interaction scripts, guardrails, and error-handling pathways. Demonstrate an applied understanding of LLM behavior, prompting, context windows, hallucination risks, and model limitations. Develop golden queries and responses to benchmark quality and ensure safe, consistent outputs. Create AI content pipelines, including frameworks for governance, training data readiness, and human-in-the-loop review. Architect intent taxonomies, entity structures, and conversational knowledge hierarchies. Work directly with engineering and product teams to deploy and optimize experiences across conversational AI platforms (chatbots, voice assistants, agentic systems, etc.). What we’d like to see. 8 years in content strategy, UX writing, content design, or adjacent strategic roles, with experience in an agency, consulting, or client services environment. Deep expertise in content architecture, metadata strategy, IA, and CMS/content delivery platforms Experience designing and operationalizing large-scale content systems that enable reuse, localization, and governance Proven experience in enterprise-scale content systems, governance, and information architecture. Expertise in these foundational areas of content strategy: Content governance, audit, and lifecycle management Information architecture and content modeling Editorial strategy and voice/tone frameworks Taxonomy strategy Multi-channel content planning Expertise in these areas of AI & Conversational Design: Conversation strategy Conversation design and dialogue flow mapping Understanding of LLM behavior, prompting, and limitations Experience with conversational AI platforms (chatbots, voice assistants, agentic systems) Golden query/response development and testing AI content pipeline strategy Intent taxonomy Strong communication skills, with the ability to translate complex systems into simple, compelling narratives. Comfort working in fast-paced environments with cross-disciplinary teams. This role is currently not available for hire or work in New Mexico and Hawaii, USA. Exactly where a prospective employee will be paid within this range will depend on, among other factors, the actual salary ranges for current and former employees who are either currently filling a similar role or did in the past; the candidate’s depth of experience and qualifications; the level of specialization the role requires; budgetary considerations; the market demand for that role and the local market conditions that exist where the employee will be based. For current Huge employees, tenure will also be a consideration. Wage Disclosure $135,000 - $153,000 USD
