Start Date: 3/10/2026 About the Position Job Opportunity – Labor
and Delivery Registered Nurse – California Start Date: March 10,
2026 Location: Orange, California Compensation: Details provided to
qualified applicants Schedule: 3x12 Day Shift, 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM.
Weekend coverage may exceed every other weekend to accommodate unit
needs. Facility may call off once per pay period. Highlights:
426-bed Magnet-designated acute care facility with very high-risk
Labor and Delivery unit Diverse case mix including pre-eclampsia,
multiples, IUFD, preterm labor, fetal anomalies, and all pregnancy
diagnoses Epic charting system with comprehensive interdisciplinary
support including IV teams, respiratory services, and rapid
response teams Patient ratios of 1:1 or 1:2, caring for neonates
and adults 72-hour orientation period with free parking provided
Procedures include cesarean sections, vaginal deliveries, D&C,
cerclage, and version Requirements: Active California RN license
(must be in hand; temporary licenses not accepted) Minimum 2 years
of recent Labor and Delivery experience required Previous travel
nursing experience required; first-time travelers cannot be
considered Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN
Intermediate (required); AWHONN Advanced (preferred) Must be able
to circulate for cesarean sections Experience in large hospital
settings highly preferred Skills required: high-risk antepartum,
external fetal monitoring, recognition and treatment of abnormal
fetal heart rate patterns, magnesium sulfate therapy, insulin
drips, antihypertensives, assist with high-risk and vaginal
deliveries 2 supervisory references covering 1 year within the last
3 years Must commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving,
Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day) Why
