Location: Los Angeles, CA Schedule: - 40 hours weekly 8:00am-6:30pm
Must be Wound Care Certified (WOCN, CWOCN) Must have acute care
experience Must be California licensed Position Summary We are
seeking an experienced Wound Care Registered Nurse (RN) to join a
high-volume, fast-paced clinical environment in Los Angeles. The
Wound Care RN will provide expert assessment, treatment, and
management of acute and chronic wounds while collaborating closely
with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
This role requires strong clinical judgment, efficiency, and the
ability to thrive in a dynamic healthcare setting. Key
Responsibilities - Perform comprehensive wound assessments,
including pressure injuries, surgical wounds, diabetic ulcers, and
complex acute/chronic wounds - Develop, implement, and evaluate
individualized wound care treatment plans - Perform advanced wound
care procedures, including dressing selection, debridement (as
permitted), and negative pressure wound therapy (NPWT) -
Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, case management, and
therapy teams to support continuity of care - Educate patients,
families, and clinical staff on wound prevention, treatment plans,
and skin integrity best practices - Accurately document wound
progress, interventions, and outcomes in the electronic medical
record - Participate in quality improvement initiatives related to
skin integrity and pressure injury prevention - Maintain compliance
with regulatory standards, infection control protocols, and
evidence-based practices - Manage a high patient volume while
maintaining attention to detail and clinical excellence Required
Qualifications - Active California RN license (unrestricted) -
Minimum 2 years of recent wound care experience in an acute care or
fast-paced clinical setting - Strong knowledge of wound etiology,
staging, and treatment modalities - Experience working in
high-acuity or high-census environments - Excellent assessment,
communication, and time-management skills - BLS certification (ACLS
preferred, if applicable) Preferred Qualifications - Wound Care
Certification (WOCN, CWCN, or equivalent) - Experience with
pressure injury prevention programs and quality metrics -
Familiarity with multidisciplinary care models in large healthcare
