The program fosters growth and learning through classroom lecture and testing, hands-on lab and simulation exercises, literature review and research assignments, as well as precepted and mentored clinical experiences. The classroom academic portion of the program reviews in depth each physiologic system including pulmonary, cardiovascular/hemodynamics, neuroscience, gastrointestinal, genitourinary, hematologic, and endocrine systems. At the end of this program, the bedside nurse, as a member of the ICU clinical team, will be able to provide safe, evidence-based, and integrated care to our most critically ill and injured patients.Important DatesProgram: September 22, 2025 - December 13, 2025Application Period: May 18, 2025 - May 24, 2025Interview Period: June 9, 2025 - July 3, 2025Hiring managers will be reviewing applications and inviting select candidates to attend interviews during the interview period.The following locations will be accepting applications from qualified RN candidates (New Grads will not be considered for this program):

      • All new hires/rehires must be able to start employment on August 25, 2025
      • Must be willing to work night shift after the completion of the program
      • Must be available to complete the entire program - class attendance is mandatory
      • No paid time off (PTO) allowed during the programProgram Eligibility Requirements & Basic Qualifications
        • 1 year or more of RN experience or internal RN who will be completing the Scripps RN New Grad Residency Program prior to the ICU Transition Program start date
        • Current California RN license
        • BLS for Health Care Provider & ACLS both from the American Heart Association required by start date
        • Must be able to speak, read, and follow instructions in English
        • Excellent interpersonal skillsPreferred Qualifications
          • BSN preferred
