ABM leads the education of the team in sales and membership development and enrichment of their CU relationship. Oversees and ensure compliance with, NCUA, BSA and SUN's policies and procedures. Oversees the delivery of a full range of products and services to members and prospective members delivered with extraordinary member service in alignment with our vision! ABM and BM work as a team to support the members and their team in all aspects of the credit union. The ABM steps in and performs the duties of the Branch Manager when necessary. ABM takes the lead in the assessment of team skills gap and provides or organizes the necessary training. ABM is instrumental in supervising Branch staff and providing appropriate disciplinary procedures. ABM is willing to perform various tasks and functions in support of our member experience. The ABM is an example of member obsession! ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES --- Leads by example, demonstrates ---member obsession--- in all encounters be it CU members or team members! --- Ensures that operations are conducted in accordance with established Credit Union policies, legal and regulatory requirements, and audit standards. Provides suggestions to continually improve process that results in efficiencies and improve member service. --- Assists with opening and closing the building in accordance with set hours. Tests security equipment as assigned. Provides awareness of any security issues. --- Ensures that the Branch balances all transactions at the close of each day. Proofs Tellers, runs related reports, and balances the vault at the end of each day. Provides assistance and support to Tellers. Completes month end certification of all cash items and negotiable instruments. --- Assists with Service Representative functions. Performs duties related to loan processing, certificates of deposit, and IRAs. Handles direct deposit functions and safe deposit boxes. Assists in opening new member accounts and with loan closings and disbursements. --- Promotes Branch business development and seeks to broaden member base. Actively deepens relationships with members and increase ---wallet share--- and retention. --- Completes required reports and records and ensures that Branch functions are properly documented. --- Assists with implementing changes to established policy and procedures within the Branch. --- Ensures compliance with BSA ---Bank Secrecy Act--- Rules & Regulations. --- Monitors the SMURF Report on a daily basis. --- Ensures proper procedure is followed in regards to CTR processing. --- Reviews and shares with applicable branch personnel CTR Exception Report. --- Ensures that the Monetary Instrument Log is properly maintained. --- Reports any unusual activity to the BSA Compliance Officer in order to determine if a Suspicious Activity Report (SAR) will be required. --- Provides assistance, direction, and supervision as needed, including guidance for, Tellers, and Service Representatives. --- Assists with orientation of new employees and staff training sessions. Supports the team in their development through training, coaching and encouraging while holding staff accountable to CU vision and strategies. Ensures the team has the tools needed to provide extraordinary member service. --- Assists with determining appropriate staffing levels and scheduling employees. --- In partnership with BM: o Assists in individual progress and conducting performance appraisals. o Provides disciplinary notices, performance deficiencies and formulates and implements corrective actions as needed. o Is an advocate for the people in the communities we serve demonstrated by attendance at community events before and after work that will assist in member growth and reflect our vision statement. PERFORMANCE MEASUREMENTS --- Demonstrates ---member obsession--- in all interactions between team and members. --- Branch operates efficiently and effectively in accordance with established Credit Union policies and standards. Also, compliance with NCUA, BSA and other regulators specific to the Credit Union industry. --- Able to initiate and develop effective business relations with members. --- Strong business acumen able to communicate and find resolution to members' needs. --- Develops and sets the tone for team collaboration and is able to develop trust and respect from team. --- Supportive of BM and is a champion for the team. QUALIFICATIONS EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION: High school graduate or equivalent. College degree preferred. REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE: Thorough knowledge of Credit Union products, services, and policies. Understanding of Teller/Member Service Representative functions. Knowledge of Loan Officer duties. EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Minimum of two years of progressively responsible credit union or financial industry experience in operations in a supervisory role. SKILLS/ABILITIES: Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Well organized. Able to operate related computer applications and basic business equipment. Effective marketing skills. Demonstrates in daily activities and interactions ---servant leadership---, able to motivate, and coach to team.
