Job Description Job Description PCB Inspector Job Description We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Final Inspector to join our team. This role involves performing visual inspections of PCB bare boards after the completion of all processes according to standard operating procedures. The position requires flexibility with shifts, including 1st shift (7:30 am - 4:00 pm) and 2nd shift (4:00 pm - 12:30 am) from Monday to Friday, and occasional work on Saturdays. Responsibilities Review and analyze customer drawings, SOPs, work instructions, and traveler packet requirements to ensure compliance with specifications. Perform visual inspections of printed circuit boards and cable assemblies under IPC J standards using magnification equipment and complete an inspection checklist. Scan jobs into PROCIM and verify calibration date for any measurement device used for inspection. Verify assembly traveler quantity count and notify the team lead of any issues. Perform a first article inspection on all first-time build assemblies to verify compliance with applicable IPC/Military and customer specifications; generate AS9102 reports. Identify and document product defects; generate NCR forms and notify the team lead. Generate and complete a Certificate of Compliance (C of C). Perform all other job duties as needed. Essential Skills Minimum of 2 years of assembly inspection experience in PCB or electronics manufacturing and assembly industry. Certified or previously certified in J-STD, NASA-STD, and/or IPC-610. Experience with microscopes, first article, in-process, and final inspections. Proficiency in blueprint reading, quality inspection, and documentation. Additional Skills & Qualifications Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in English. Ability to interpret customer drawings, requirements, SOPs, work instructions, and manufacturing travelers. Knowledge of Military and IPC J standards. Knowledge of first article documentation and shipping standards. Proficiency with standard assembly equipment. 20/20 correctable near vision in one eye. High attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills. High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) preferred. Why Work Here? Work Environment This role is based in a manufacturing environment where you will be using equipment such as microscopes with calibrated eyepieces, pin gauges, ring lights, micrometers, calipers, surface plates, and light tables. Expect prolonged sitting and repetitive hand motions, with occasional lifting, pushing, or pulling up to 10 pounds. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Santa Ana, CA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00/hr.
