is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Engineer to join our
dynamic team. Reporting to the Integrated Product Team (IPT) Lead –
Electrical Power Systems (EPS), the Manufacturing Engineer will
develop and implement optimal, cost-effective manufacturing
processes and methods in accordance with product specifications and
quality standards. This role will be supporting manufacturing
issues on existing product designs and new satellite mechanisms
early in the design phase, providing critical design for
manufacturability input and supporting testing of these assemblies,
while developing and implementing the plan to move from design/test
into build/production. Specifically, this position will focus on
the Electrical Power System (EPS) component and module team,
ensuring that all processes and methods are tailored to the unique
requirements of EPS components and modules, enhancing their
reliability and performance in satellite applications. The Weekend
Shift is from Friday - Monday. Friday & Monday: 9am - 5pm Saturday
& Sunday: 8am - 6pm Key Duties and Responsibilities Execute,
maintain, and evolve the company manufacturing strategy and
technology roadmap in line with Terran Orbital strategy. Design and
implement the production floor layout, as it relates to
manufacturing flight hardware. Design for modularity and
adaptability, with an eye for scaling with time and product
evolution. Identify capital tooling and work center capability
needs and lead the efforts of standing up key production
capabilities. Develop production procedures/processes and manage
the transition of components and module assemblies from development
to production. Develop process flows, breaking down large, complex
assemblies into a logical part flow of subassemblies and
sub-processes. Work closely with development and design engineers,
internal machine shop, and external vendors to make parts that are
designed for manufacturability, reliability, and source-ability,
etc. Lead team in production readiness reviews for transition from
development into full-rate program production. Advise team members
on technical decisions related to the team's product and act as
responsible manufacturing engineer on non-conformances and work
instructions. Write documentation required for successfully
manufacturing their hardware at scale, such as work instructions,
quality plans, inspection requirements, etc. Resolve and analyze
manufacturing and test discrepancies, while interfacing with the
quality team (resolving issues for design, fabrication, and
assembly). Drive continuous process improvements to focus on cost
reduction in every element of the production processes.
Troubleshoot and diagnose problems with existing processes or
products and makes modifications and improvements as needed.
Support space hardware testing, including tooling design and data
analysis. Act as point of contact in daily and weekly program and
production meetings and provide updates to leadership as required.
Write documentation required for successfully manufacturing their
hardware at scale, such as work instructions, quality plans,
inspection requirements, etc. Qualifications and Skills Bachelor's
Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace
Engineering, or other related discipline. Minimum two (2) years of
experience in a Manufacturing Engineering function within a high
reliability manufacturing environment, at least one (1) of which
should be in electronics, electric hardware (motors, batteries,
transformers) or space hardware build and development. Demonstrates
a knowledge of strong engineering fundamentals and a first
principles mindset. Design software experience (AutoCAD or
SolidWorks preferred). Data management software Power BI, SQL, JMP
desired. Automation experience (PLC, Robots, Vision) desired.
Propulsion systems experience desired. Highly self-motivated and
organized with strong written and oral communication skills. Able
to work well in an integrated team, including daily interactions
with technicians, engineers, and managers. Demonstrated experience
working in a highly adaptive and iterative environment.
Demonstrated achievements of rapidly improving productivity through
process improvements while focusing on product reliability and
mission success. Experience with process development, facility, and
line layouts, PFMEA, error-proofing, lean manufacturing, and
implementing automation into production processes. Experience with
design for manufacturability, assembly, reliability. Experience
with Aegis a plus. U.S. Citizenship with ability to obtain and
maintain DoD security clearance. Your actual level and base salary
will be determined case-by-case and may vary based on the
job-related qualification, knowledge, skills, education, and

Physical Demands An employee must meet the physical demands
described to perform the essential functions of this job
successfully. In performing the duties of this job, the employee is
routinely required to sit or stand for long durations of time, in
addition to bending, reaching, and walking. This would require the
ability to lift or move objects up to 10 pounds and occasionally

sedentary, with substantial computer usage. Work Environment The
job operates in a professional office environment but in a
manufacturing company. This job routinely uses standard office
