Job Description Job Description Description: We are pleased to
introduce an important leadership opportunity within our hotel’s
Engineering Department. The Engineer Supervisor plays a vital role
in maintaining a safe, efficient, and guest-ready environment each
day on our Hilton hotel Campus. The Engineer Supervisor supports
the daily operations of the Engineering Department by overseeing
maintenance staff, coordinating work orders, and ensuring the
hotel’s physical assets are maintained to Hilton brand standards.
This role ensures guest satisfaction through timely repairs,
preventative maintenance, and a safe, well-functioning environment
for guests and team members. Please note: Although this is a
supervisor role, if offered, candidate will work as an Engineer
within the 90-day probationary period prior to fulfilling the
Engineer Supervisor role. Key Responsibilities Leadership &
Supervision Supervise engineering team members, assign daily tasks,
and ensure work is completed efficiently and accurately. Provide
coaching, training, and performance feedback to engineering staff.
Assist with scheduling, timecard accuracy, and ensuring adequate
coverage for all shifts. Support onboarding and ongoing technical
training for new hires. Maintenance & Repairs Perform and oversee
repairs on HVAC systems, electrical panels, plumbing, boilers,
chillers, kitchen equipment, and general building systems. Respond
promptly to guest room and public area maintenance requests. Ensure
all work orders are completed within required timeframes and
documented accurately. Preventative Maintenance and participate in
the hotel’s Preventative Maintenance Program (PMP). Conduct routine
inspections of guest rooms, equipment, and building systems. Ensure
compliance with Hilton brand standards and local/state regulations.
Safety & Compliance Maintain a safe working environment by
following OSHA, fire safety, and hotel safety protocols. Ensure all
equipment rooms, mechanical spaces, and storage areas are clean,
organized, and secured. Assist with safety audits, emergency
procedures, and compliance documentation. Vendor & Inventory
Management Coordinate with outside contractors for specialized
repairs or projects. Monitor inventory of tools, supplies, and
replacement parts; submit purchase requests as needed. Ensure all
vendor work meets quality and safety standards. Administrative
Duties Maintain accurate logs, reports, and documentation for
maintenance activities. Support budget planning by identifying
equipment needs and cost-saving opportunities. Communicate
effectively with leadership, housekeeping, front office, and other
departments. Requirements: Qualifications Required 2–3 years of
hotel engineering or facility maintenance experience. 1 year of
supervisory or lead experience. Working knowledge of HVAC,
electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems. Ability to read
technical manuals, schematics, and safety documents. Strong
problem-solving skills and ability to prioritize tasks in a
fast-paced environment. Preferred Experience in a Hilton-branded
property or similar full-service hotel. Certifications such as EPA
Universal, HVAC, CPO, or electrical licensing. Experience with
hotel work-order systems (HotSOS, Quore, etc.). Physical
Requirements Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Frequent walking,
standing, bending, climbing ladders, and working in confined
spaces. Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying
temperatures. Work Schedule Full-time; may include weekends,
evenings, holidays, and on-call rotations based on operational
needs.
