The San Diego Unified School District is currently accepting
applications to become pre-qualified for the position(s) of School
Clerk I and/or School Clerk II . This opportunity is open to all
interested candidates. This application process will establish a
pool of pre-qualified candidates for the School Clerk I , and/or
School Clerk II position (s). Please review this entire posting for

BASIC FUNCTION: School Clerk I and School Clerk II assumes primary
responsibility for one or more clerical functions as assigned in an

POSITION SPECIFICS: Working Location: Various sites within the
District The District covers a large portion of San Diego County.
Refer to the District Area Map at this Link and make sure to

recruitment. Salary School Clerk I will be paid on the OTBS Salary
Schedule. Salary Grade 026. School Clerk II will be paid on the
OTBS Salary Schedule. Salary Grade 030. OTBS Salary Schedule .
Positions 20 hours per week or greater qualify for District-paid
health and wellness benefits for the employee and their eligible
dependents. Vacancies that require the incumbent to be Bilingual
will be noted. Candidates considered for positions that require
bilingual skills will be invited to a Performance Test (Qualifying
Only) for oral and written fluency. Bilingual positions qualify for

Request Form . MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Education and Experience:
School Clerk I Any combination of training, experience, and/or
education equivalent to one year of recent, full-time equivalent,
paid office-clerical experience. One school year (ten full-time
equivalent months) is acceptable. School Clerk II Any combination
of training, experience, and/or education equivalent to two years
of recent, full-time equivalent, paid increasingly responsible
office-clerical experience. Two school years (twenty full-time
equivalent months) are acceptable. NOTE: Your related education and
experience must be clearly represented in the work history and
education section of your application. Licenses and Other
Requirements: School Clerk I - Typing/keyboarding certificate at a
net, corrected speed of 25 words per minute (*). School Clerk II -
Typing/keyboarding certificate at a net, corrected speed of 40
words per minute (*). (*) NOTE: Classifications that requires that
incumbents be skilled in typing/keyboarding at a designated minimum
words per minute will require that the applicant certify in writing
that they have such skills. Demonstrated proficiency will be
expected during the probationary period for the class. A typing
certificate is not required and a typing test will not be given .
