DescriptionJob Summary:
Under the supervision of the Chief Operating Officer (COO) or
designated Associate Chief Operating Officer (ACOO), the Regional
Operations Director is responsible for planning, coordinating and
executing clinic operations at all sites within their assigned
region. The Director will provide leadership and oversight at each
assigned site, supporting the Clinic Managers and Administrators in
driving the successful implementation of clinic policies and
procedures, overseeing the integration of clinic operations,
including Medical, Dental, IBH management, and additional specialty
services offered at DAP Health. The Director will coordinate and
oversee day-to-day operations to ensure the delivery of
high-quality patient care and optimal patient experience.

- Desert Hot Springs Wellness Center (Dental)

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- In collaboration with DAP Health leadership, participate in the
implementation of the mission, vision and values of the
organization.
- Assists COO and ACOO in development, coordination and
implementation of clinical program initiatives within their
assigned region, ensuring participatory decision making and
appropriate design.
- In collaboration with Regional Directors of Operations and
Medical Directors, lead the execution of DAP Health's annual
operating plans and corresponding budgets including staffing and
other needed operating resources to achieve projected patient
volumes within assigned region.
- Work side-by-side with the COO, ACOO and other Regional
Operation and Medical Directors in the execution of
transformational strategies and the adoption of process and quality
improvement initiatives. Guides staff in the implementation and
execution of process improvement tools and methods.Coordinates
across departments to assure appropriate information flow.
- Provides event follow-up to monitor the progress of planned
improvement implementation to assure timely action, appropriate
management support, and achievement of expected benefits. Uses
appropriate measurement, analysis and evaluation methods to
accurately identify and document process improvements.
- Communicates and interprets policies and procedures to Clinic
Leadership; assesses the impact of policies and workflows, at all
times maintaining focus on patient access, quality of care and
efficiency
- Works in partnership with clinician leadership to strengthen
the collaboration and coordination of services between operations
and clinical teams.
- Supports Clinic Managers and Administrators in developing a
talented and motivated workforce by ensuring engagement and
satisfaction; while ensuring optimal efficiency and
accountability.
- Ensures responsible utilization of supplies through tracking
and inventory of supplies and equipment are in compliance with
operating budget.
- Responsible for ensuring program oversight and compliance with
Federal and State laws, organizational policies and procedures, as
well as with external regulatory bodies such as PCMH, FQHC, HIPAA,
OSHA, CLIA and other professional review and standards boards
within their assigned region.
- In collaboration with the COO and ACOO, maintains current
working knowledge of the health care environment as it relates to
operations and best practices. This includes government rules and
regulations, changes in reimbursement, changes in the local market,
and other key factors impacting patient access and service
provision.
- Participate in staff, management and provider meetings, as
necessary.
- Responsible for monitoring, tracking and reporting of
operational KPI's for clinics in assigned region
- In collaboration with the Billing/Finance team, monitors
reasons for denials, develops required policies and procedures, as
well as ongoing training programs, and audits to monitor compliance
with patient registration.
- Work closely with ACOO to schedule and prepare monthly Clinic
Leadership Meeting
- Acts as a resource for staff regarding policies, procedures,
and various funding sources
- Represents the health centers in meetings with the public and
with other agencies
- Manages lifecycle of site-specific grants and programs,
including initiating, planning, designing, executing, monitoring,
controlling, and closing a project
- Functions at highest level according to credentials and
competencies
- Impacts patient experience by demonstrating courteous and
helpful behavior and a commitment to accuracy
- Assists with leading and guiding management team through all
proposed efforts and goals pertaining to care
transformation
- Shares accountability for overall patient health outcomes by
working in coordination with care teams
- Operates to instill confidence in our care and in our
facilities to patients, fellow employees, and other
stakeholders
QualificationsMinimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree required or equivalent combination of
education and experience in healthcare
- A minimum of 3-5 years of progressively responsible healthcare
operation administrative and leadership experience, preferably in
an under-served area.
- A minimum of one year of experience working with an FQHC.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Must have excellent interpersonal skills and empathy towards
patients, as well as have excellent communication skills, critical
thinking skills, the ability to handle stressful situations, the
capacity to function independently, have varied clinical
experience, and the ability to document meticulously.
- Must have excellent process improvement skills and be able to
understand clinic functions and department interactions.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and thrive in a
complex environment with multiple priorities.
- Knowledge of regulatory compliance i.e., HIPAA, FQHC, OSHA,
CLIA, etc.
- Ability to manage and supervise various positions and relate
well to people from diverse ethnic and cultural backgrounds, as
well as have a passion for working with at-risk, culturally diverse
populations.
- Understanding of information technology and ability to
organize, analyze and synthesize complex data from various
sources.
- Lean Six Sigma or Project Management Certification
(Preferred)
