Job Description:

Our client, a local non-profit is looking for someone to fill a a hybrid role splitting time between their Accounting and Human Resources departments. The ideal candidate will have experience in accounting and payroll as well as an understanding that confidentiality is essential. Responsibilities: Assisting the Accounting department with light payables and receivables; filing, copying, scanning, faxing, answering calls, retrieving and sorting daily mail, data entry and liaison to vendors on billing issues. Some additional duties assisting Human Resources with payroll, filing and setting up interviews as well as other HR clerical duties as assigned. Job Responsibilities: Accounting/Administrative 75% Maintain and reconcile daily receivables and reports from our veterinary clinics Processing and data entry of accounts payable invoices Maintain files for accounts payable, purchasing, and accounts receivable. Meet various department deadlines. Respond timely to information requests, reviewing and assisting with audits. Perform clerical duties such as typing, prepare reports, scanning, copying, faxing various documentation Miscellaneous administrative tasks and/or projects as assigned Must be able to sit for long periods of time Collection and distribution of daily mail Be able to multitask Other accounting and administrative duties as assigned Human Resources/Payroll 25% Assist with editing timecards (missing time punches, corrections, time off requests) Assist and act as a back-up for bi-weekly payroll process Maintain HR employee files and documents both electronic and paper Assist with setting up interviews Assist with onboarding employees, including producing offer letters. Maintain and update HR and payroll documents Other HR and payroll duties as assigned The ability to maintain confidentiality is essential in this role. Education/Experience: 3+ years of basic accounting and Quickbooks experience. Knowledge of ADP Workforce or another payroll software desirable. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook & PowerPoint) Strong attention to detail and good analytical skills Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Self-directed and able to work with limited supervision Ability to maintain confidentiality HS diploma is required. College lever coursework in accounting is desirable. Completion of an associate or bachelor s degree is a plus. Schedule: Part-time 25-30 hours, eventually Full-time 30-40 hours per week Mon Fri 8am - 5pm Pay: $18 - $22/HR - DOE
